Olea MARSDEN PARK
January 2017
This was our first display home construction job. A design to compliment the house, allowing it to seamlessly flow into both front and backyards. An alfresco area under the cover of the main roof providing the future owners and perspective buyers with outdoor lounge and relaxed dining facilities topped off with a casual seating area and outdoor kitchen.
Every window was considered as a view into the garden, creating vistas and complimenting these with advanced large specimen trees and plants.
Screening the fence with lillypilly hedging gave the illusion of additional space withing the backyard.
Planting was the main feature of this garden, offering height and interest. A stepping stone path through the garden was included to allow you to meander and enjoy the space and a flat lawn area gave flexibility and visual contrast.
With a focus on entertaining, the outdoor kitchen had a pizza oven installed which was covered with a pergola constructed in beautiful Australian spotted gum.
The streetscape and front plantings were designed to capture attention and draw people in. Set on two levels with a small brick retaining wall complimenting the new house and a striking plant selection, including a series of buxus balls.
Although this project was a challenge, the Change of Scenery Landscapes team enjoyed putting all of the elements together and relished in the challenge which was set. With this one now complete, the team are looking forward to new challenges ahead and the opportunity to create even better landscapes.
