Crassula
Designed pool space to live a fulfilled, enjoyable life. A concrete pool has been installed on a difficult section of this backyard. The pool is raised above natural ground level on a slopy block and positioned due to land zoning on the block.

Creating connection to the house and existing outdoor dining space to make the most out of the design.

Travertine paving and coping bring a warm, vibrant feel to the pool space. To further create an amazing usable landscape, we have included an opening roof Smartblade pergola. This has provided shade for a lounge sitting area within the pool area, giving parents comfort whilst being on watch for the kids playing and swimming.

To allow for the levelled area surrounding the pool, concrete besser block walls have been installed to retain the sloped land and give the provision of a garden to soften the hard landscape space.

The next challenge of a project like this is privacy from neighbours. The neighbour immediately west of the pool is elevated above the pool level, so a bespoke hamptons-styled fence installed on the boundary to a height of 2.1m provided a visual barrier for privacy, and a pool-safe fence solution as required when building your pool to comply with local council and state/country design requirements and laws.

Then to add in the louvred style Smartshade awning allowed for any further privacy issues to be completely dealt with whilst providing a cosy and luxurious feel for the owner and pool user.
